AWD Products “Quickloop” origin started off a couple important needs for the Personal Water Craft (PWC). Safety and function! We are not only the inventors, but were amature racers as well.

1999 it was requested by an IJSBA official to develop a device for the front of a PWC / Jetski that maintained an open loop. This need was specifically for Race Course Safety Crew to quickly hook onto a PWC that was either disabled, or the rider has fallen off and now separated from their PWC. The common use of a rope, twine, strap, cable ties, the small diameter of the bow eye was not acceptable. The need for a Course Marshal to quickly clip on and tow the PWC while bouncing around in a corner of the course, balancing yourself on their PWC trying to hold the riderless or disabled PWC with one hand, attempting to clip a tow rope to what ever that PWC had, is challenging. The design of the QuickLoop maintains and open loop allows the Safety Crew to ride up with a single hand clip on to the QuickLoop and ride away with the PWC in tow. Working closely with key officials, AWD developed the optimal solution – the PWC QuickLoop Tow Loop.

The QuickLoop was introduced to PWC Closed Course racing in 2000 and was received with high acclaim.  Regional Race Directors across the country and officials at the 2000 IJSBA World Finals used our QuickLoop and loved the solution. AWD Products QuickLoop has been the choice at the IJSBA World Finals since then. Now used around the world at many closed course, freestyle and surf riding events. Endorsed by K38 Water Rescue.

Second to the QuickLoop line-up is the 18″ Helmet Security Cable and 36″ Helmet & Gear Security Cable. This was inspired by a motorcyclist at a local dealership wanting a simple compact way to securely and safely lock his helmet to his bike so he did not have to tote it around. There was nothing on the market that satisfied his need. He was asked what he wanted exactly and a prototype was developed. “Perfect. Exactly what I wanted”. The question “is this something you could sell to your customers? “Yes!!” and QuickLoop Helmet Security Cable and Helmet & Gear Security Cable was born.
